Special Olympics Idaho to hold fundraiser through Papa John's proceeds July 11

Publish date: 2024-07-05

Special Olympics Idaho will hold a fundraiser July 11 at all six Treasure Valley Papa John's locations.

All proceeds and tips from 4-7 p.m. will go towards helping Special Olympics Idaho athletes. Just call in and use the code "SOID."

"It's been extremely difficult during this time as our vulnerable athletes can not get together in teams and groups," the organization said. "They have lived very isolated lives and now are more isolated than ever."

The Law Enforcement Torch Run has been the biggest grassroots fundraising arm for Special Olympics since it’s inception almost 40 years ago. Officers usually taking part in the event will be helping out with the July 11 fundraiser, so don't be alarmed when you see one handing you the order!

This will be the organization's first event since early March.

"Without the generous support or our community, Special Olympics Idaho would not be possible for children and adults with intellectual disabilities," the organization said. "Help our cause as we create communities of acceptance and inclusion for all!"
