A contender named Macaron demonstrates his masculine strength by compelling his opponents to relinquish their gems. It appears like he has the upper hand, and he’s really terrifying.

As if on cue, the announcer informs the crowd that certain teams have decided to bow out of this round of competition early. Dot and Mash have a little celebration, but Mash has a bad feeling about it. Mash has a tough road ahead of him in the tournament, as Wahlberg, Macaron, and the audience are well aware.

Mash and Macaron had an awkward exchange that suggests they will face off in the future. A powerful figure, Wahlberg, meets with Magic Talent Administration chief Kaldo later on. They talk about Mash and Macaron’s chances of winning the competition.

The fact that Kaldo is uncertain about Mash heightens the tension. As this is happening, one of Macaron’s friends proposes a cunning plan to foil Mash’s plans. However, Macaron prefers to win the game honestly and isn’t interested in cheating. He goes so far as to warn Orter, another friend of his, not to become involved. To Macaron, a fair fight is paramount.

Mash has a lighthearted chat with himself, which annoys his companion Finn. When another character, Lemon, gets involved, the humor level goes through the roof. When Kaldo challenges Mash to a game, though, the fun comes to an end. Despite his displeasure, Mash agrees to play.

Kaldo cautions Mash that he may lack the necessary skills to emerge victorious from this ordeal. “You look, you lose” is the name of their game, and it’s more complicated than it seems. Mash finds it tough because Kaldo has his own ruleset.
