Guilty of murder, kidnapping: Henry Dinkins learns fate in Breasia Terrell murder case
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KGAN) — Guilty on both charges of murder and kidnapping in the death of 10-year-old Breasia Terrell in July 2020.
That is the verdict delivered by the judge Friday morning in the fate of Henry Dinkins.
The bench trial wrapped up at the end of August. A bench trial is when there is no jury and a judge makes a decision after evidence is presented.
Dinkins waived his right to a jury trial.
Dinkins faces a mandatory life sentence, without the chance at parole. Sentencing is scheduled for October 11, 2023.
Breasia's body was found in rural Clinton County about 8 and a half months later after she was reported missing.
