Boise State dismisses tight end David Lucero after arrest

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Boise State has dismissed tight end David Lucero from the football program.

Lucero pleaded guilty to a battery charge in December after a fight.

"This type of behavior does not align with the core values of the athletic department at Boise State," said Curt Apsey, BSU athletic director.

Boise PD said the fight took place at a home near South Shoshone Street and Cherry Lane in November.Officers say witnesses told them a man and a woman were having an argument when it turned physical.
